There are some wedding venues that just take your breath away — and Fox Canyon Vineyards in Marsing, Idaho is 100% one of them. It sits right on the edge of a canyon overlooking the Snake River, and the views are absolutely unreal. Every time we get to shoot here, it feels like a dream — golden light, vineyard rows, and that peaceful Idaho charm that makes you stop and take it all in.
When you pull up to Fox Canyon Vineyards, it’s impossible not to notice the view first. The property sits high above the valley, surrounded by vineyard rows, lush trees, and a waterfall tucked into the landscape. It’s calm, romantic, and totally made for photos.
The getting-ready spaces are just as beautiful — bright and cozy, with plenty of room for those pre-ceremony moments. We love capturing detail shots here — dresses hanging in soft window light, flat lays with the rings and flowers, and everyone getting those last-minute touch-ups before the day officially begins.
If you’ve ever dreamed of saying “I do” with a canyon view behind you, Fox Canyon Vineyards is the place. The ceremony area sits right at the edge of the property, so when you walk down the aisle, the Snake River and the entire valley stretch out behind you.
As photographers, we live for this kind of backdrop. The light here hits perfectly — soft, golden, and glowy — and there’s plenty of space to move around and capture the ceremony from every angle. Whether we’re grabbing wide shots with the full view or close-ups of happy tears and big smiles, every frame looks like it belongs in a magazine.
After the ceremony, we usually sneak our couples away for a few quiet minutes together — and trust us, Fox Canyon Vineyards is the perfect spot for it. The vines catch the golden light beautifully, and the cliffs give us those epic sunset shots with the glowing sky behind you.
The waterfall and rock garden area also make such a pretty spot for couple portraits. You can go from wide-open views to intimate garden vibes all within a few minutes of walking — which means your gallery ends up full of variety without having to leave the venue.
When the sun goes down, the whole place transforms. The string lights come on, music starts, and the lawn turns into the best kind of dance floor. The reception space at Fox Canyon Vineyards has such a good flow — indoor and outdoor areas blend together so guests can mingle, dance, or relax under the lights.
From a photography standpoint, the evening shots here are some of our favorites — that mix of glowing lights, laughter, and canyon views makes every photo feel cozy and cinematic. And if you’re planning a sparkler exit or a private last dance, the open-air setup makes it extra magical.
If you’re planning your wedding at Fox Canyon Vineyards, here are a few tips from our experience shooting there:

🌿 Trust the view. You don’t need to go overboard with decor — the venue’s natural beauty does all the work.
🏡 Use the whole space. The vineyard, waterfall, and cliff views each bring a different look to your photos — take advantage of it!
✨ Sneak away for 5 minutes during the reception. Once the lights come on, grab a few nighttime shots together — they’re always some of our couples’ favorites.
